MIKE NORRIS NEGOTIATES RELOCATION FOR ASCELLA TECHNOLOGIES

Tysons Corner, VA – A leading provider of information-technology services to the federal government has a new home in Tysons Corner.

Scheer Partners Inc., the leading provider of fully integrated commercial real estate services in the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas, announces today that it has negotiated a new lease for Ascella Technologies Inc. at Tysons-Dulles Plaza.

Ascella is a Virginia-based small business providing program management and IT services to help government clients improve business performance and service delivery. The company’s services include program/project management and business consultingERP systems implementation and supportapplication design, implementation and support; and IT infrastructure support.

Last month, Ascella opened its new 1,254-square-foot headquarters at 1420 Spring Hill Road following a six-month process that entailed determining the requirement, evaluating facilities and negotiating the resulting transaction. The company previously occupied space at 8614 Westwood Center Drive in Tysons Corner.

Mike Norris, LEED AP, vice president and head of Scheer Partners’ Virginia office, says that Ascella’s relocation and expansion was the result of a carefully managed process to better align its facility to its business.

“By properly defining the requirement and evaluating the facilities, landlords and transaction structures, we were able to secure a facility lease for Ascella that will save the company money and mitigate risk,” he says.

Ascella Vice President Jacob Varghese adds that both the facility and transaction structure met all of the company’s requirements. He says “Mike was very helpful in negotiating the lease” and advises other companies facing facility or lease decisions to work with him.
