SCHEER PARTNERS SPONSORS TECH COUNCIL OF MARYLAND LEADERSHIP DINNER

Rockville, MD – Scheer Partners Inc., a leading provider of commercial real estate services in the greater Washington metropolitan region, is sponsoring this Thursday night’s Tech Council of Maryland Annual Leadership Dinner in Annapolis, with Scheer Partners President Robert Scheer serving as the event’s emcee.

Discussion topics scheduled for the dinner include Maryland’s challenging budget, the state of economic development amid the weakening economy, and the Maryland General Assembly’s technology and biotechnology priorities.

Given the current economic climate, local business leaders expect unprecedented levels of change in the tech and biotech sectors, and the Tech Council event allows area executives to learn from one another.

Michael E. Busch, Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates, will deliver the dinner’s keynote address, in which he will discuss actions that the Maryland General Assembly is taking to maintain a strong business climate in the state.

Busch will provide a detailed overview of the most important issues facing Maryland’s tech and biotech industries during the 2009 legislative session.

The Tech Council’s Annual Leadership Dinner will take place from 6 pm to 9 pm on February 12, 2009, at the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront.

Attendance is reserved for CEOs, C-level Executives, Managing Directors and other Senior Executives from the Tech Council’s membership.

The Tech Council, Maryland’s largest tech-focused trade association, has hosted its Annual Leadership Dinner for more than a decade in Annapolis.
