Rockville, MD – Rockville-based OncoPlex Diagnostics (formerly Expression Pathology, Inc.) is expanding its Rockville, Maryland office and laboratory.
Scheer Partners, the leading provider of fully integrated commercial real estate services in the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas, announced today that it has negotiated on behalf of OncoPlex Diagnostics a 22,084-square-foot lease at 9600 Medical Center Drive, a 72,500-square-foot building owned by Red Gate III, LLC.
In this transaction, Scheer Partners Senior Vice Presidents Matt Brady and Henry Bernstein represented OncoPlex Diagnostics.
Brady says that OncoPlex Diagnostics required additional space to facilitate new CLIA services and accommodate their growing marketing team. “OncoPlex Diagnostic will be repurposing the building by constructing a new state-of-the-art laboratory and administrative space,” he says.
Built in 1991, 9600 Medical Center Drive is a 72,500-square-foot building located within the nation’s first R&D park developed exclusively for biotechnology industries, life science services, and university education and research – Key West Research Center.
The building is at very hub of an exciting, innovative research environment that includes neighbors such as the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Standards and Technology, and other federal and corporate R&D facilities and agencies.
