Robert Scheer, President and Founder
In 1991, Robert Scheer founded Scheer Partners, a leading full service provider of commercial real estate services in the Washington metropolitan area.  In addition to overseeing the company, he has final responsibility for quality control and client satisfaction.  Scheer Partners currently represents more than 7.8 million square feet of office and R&D space.  Mr. Scheer has overseen more than 1.5 million square feet of life sciences real estate transactions–more than any other real estate professional in the region. Notable clients include Human Genome Sciences, MedImmune, Johns Hopkins University and the State of Maryland. Since joining the industry in 1981, he has qualified for the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors’ Million Dollar Club every year and became the youngest Lifetime Member of the exclusive Washington Board of Realtors Million Dollar Leasing Club.  Mr. Scheer holds a Bachelor of Science in business economics from Flagler College and an MBA in finance from the University of Maryland.

Glen RobersonGlenn Roberson, Chief Financial Officer
Glenn Roberson is responsible for acquisitions, capital markets, financial management, and financial client advisory. He has 20 years experience in senior financial management and has successfully structured and closed over $2 billion in merger, acquisition, and financing transactions. Mr. Roberson previously worked as Vice President of Accounting at The Mills, a publicly-traded REIT and as Chief Financial Officer at Combined Properties. Mr. Roberson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He is a Certified Public Accountant and an AICPA Accredited Business Valuation Analyst.

Henry Bernstein, Senior Vice President
Henry Bernstein joined Scheer Partners in April 2005 after a distinguished 28 year career with the Montgomery County Government, culminating with his being named chief operating officer of the Department of Economic Development in 2000. While with Montgomery County, Bernstein successfully completed business attraction and retention projects for hundreds of companies resulting in the creation of thousands of new jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars of new investments in the County and State. Mr. Bernstein became the local government’s liaison to the commercial real estate community and oversaw the development of the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center, a 300-acre office park owned by the County.  Major firms and organizations he has assisted with relocation to and expansion within Montgomery County include Discovery, The Mills Corporation, Johns Hopkins and Maryland Universities, and Qiagen.Mr. Bernstein holds a BA in Liberal Arts from the University of Maryland.

David P. Kaye, Senior Vice President
David Kaye joined Scheer Partners’ commercial brokerage team in 2009, as senior vice president, providing real estate advisory services in the Montgomery and Frederick County markets. Previously, David served as the Senior Director, Facilities and Research Services for the Biomedical Research and Development Division of the American Red Cross. His background in facilities management spans more than 40 years, including a 25-year career in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and senior positions at two major research universities (Yale and Stanford). He has been in building construction, operations and maintenance, and more recently, commercial real estate, throughout his career and was stationed in Germany, Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Thailand, Alaska, Hawaii, Viet Nam and many places in the continental United States. David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, which he earned while on active duty. He holds several certifications such as Management Systems for Energy from Georgia Tech, Contracting Officer’s Representative from the Federal Market Institute and has received formal training from OSHA and the Department of Defense. He has received numerous awards from employers as well as municipalities.

Mike Norris, LEED AP, Vice President
Mike Norris, LEED AP, leads the Virginia office of Scheer Partners.  Mr. Norris has served over 100 clients in nearly 200 projects in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and provides transaction management and consulting services for approximately 20 clients each year.  He joined Scheer Partners in 2004 after four years at Newmark where he directed the market research department and represented local owners, developers and end users in lease and purchase facility projects.  Mr. Norris serves on the board of the Business Alliance of George Mason University and received his Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Government and Politics, with Honors in Economics, from the University of Maryland.

Matt Brady, Vice President
Since joining Scheer Partners in 2003, Matt Brady has successfully completed commercial real estate transactions for over 500,000 square feet of office, R&D and industrial space totaling close to $100 million in transaction value. For over six years, he has concentrated his efforts on providing comprehensive real estate services and has extensive experience in executing complex projects consisting of leasing, strategic facility planning/consulting, acquisitions and financing. Mr. Brady’s knowledge of the market and dedicated problem solving skills has enhanced his ability to add value to transactions through skilled and professional advice, superior negotiating skills and unique technical aptitude.

Nathan CroweNathan Crowe, Vice President
Nathan Crowe joined Scheer Partners in 2006 with a specialization in tenant representation in Bethesda, Rockville and Gaithersburg. Since joining the firm, Mr. Crowe has successfully negotiated and completed lease transactions totaling more than 425,000 square feet of office, laboratory and medical space. Mr. Crowe holds a BA in Managerial Economics from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and is actively involved with the Special Olympics of Maryland as a two-sport coach and a member of the Montgomery Masters Golf Committee.

Ben Heller, Commercial Leasing and Sales
Ben Heller joined Scheer Partners in 2009, with a strong background in sales and a focus on servicing the client. Mr. Heller’s specialization is tenant representation and investment sales in Montgomery County, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC markets. Whether the client’s needs are for a complex restructuring of a diversified real estate portfolio or a lease renewal, Mr. Heller devotes his efforts to the needs of the client and providing exceptional service. He has eight years of sales experience working in the Washington DC/Baltimore Metropolitan area. Mr. Heller graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from James Madison University in May, 2001. He is active with several community and business networking groups.

Susan Scott, Vice President
Susan Scott recently joined Scheer Partners as vice president for property operations. She is responsible for organizing the growth of the company’s portfolio and providing strategic oversight of property activities including acquisitions planning, due diligence management, asset management, property management and construction.  Previously, Ms. Scott headed Long and Foster’s commercial property and construction management services for its retail offices overseeing tenant coordination services, and property and construction management.  Prior to that, she was employed by Southern Management’s Commercial Properties division, managing 1.2 million sq. ft. of commercial and multi-family properties.

Brian BoueyBrian Bouey, Controller
Brian Bouey is responsible for all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including preparation of corporate financial statements and tax returns, strategic financial planning, budgeting and corporate banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, property accounting, coordination of audit and tax requirements with outside CPA firms, and third party reporting.  Prior to joining Scheer Partners, Bouey served as controller at Donohoe Real Estate Services. Mr. Bouey holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and MBA from Mt. St. Mary’s College.
